Solar Pioneers Ghana Limited is a Ghanaian Owned Entity. It was founded in 2014 in Accra, Ghana to initially promote renewable energy services. The company was founded by Ing. Ernest Nhyira Akrofi and Ing. Eric Tetteh Akrofi who are both Electrical Engineers and Renewable experts and supported by key individuals who have long time experience in the photovoltaic (PV) industry. The Founders have rich industry experience and have operated other businesses successfully.

In that same 2014, the company located its head office on the Sowutuom - Ofankor Road where it has remained till date. The company’s main office and workshop is located 10km from the heart of the Accra business centre and 1 hour drive from the Port of Tema.

In 2016 the company started its electrical supply and equipment trading and services business as a result of increased demand for such services from customers who have come to trust the company to provide top quality renewable energy services.

Over the years, the company has earned a reputation for excellence and professionalism for continuously striving to meet - and even exceed - standards which set the climate for a sustainable business relationship with its clients.

As an electrical power and services solutions specialist, the company offers electrical power products ranging from generators, transformers, switch gears, breakers, XLPE cables, panel boards, power meters, and switches.

The company also offers control products such as variable frequency drive, soft starters, UPS, AVR, batteries, motors and even lighting fixtures.

By 2017 the company has become a household name for renewable energy and electrical engineering solutions. The company has won huge contracts with Government of Ghana (GOG) institutions. These institution include: The Ghana Highway Authority, The Energy Commission, The Ghana Education Service, Public Universities Regulatory Commission, Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Minerals Commission, Ghana Health Service, University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, etc.

Currently the company is working on solar projects for multimedia institutions, construction and real estate institutions and some prominent individuals including government officials and expatriates. Solar Pioneers Ghana Limited now has exclusive agreements with a number of multinational Solar, Generator Power and Electrical product manufacturers from China, Europe and America.

This makes us the only entity in Ghana and in some cases in West Africa that can offer certain products and services to clients in the region.
